February 23, 2003:

Voters:

Last week's winner was Mr. Young, for his quote: "I don't object to talking about the war in Iraq, I just don't like ill-informed people from Exeter and Belmont Hill spreading their ignorance."

Remember (and that means you, Hillary): QOTW does not use the outdated plurality voting system. We use instant runoff voting. And that means you can list as many of the nominees as you want, but please just list names, not the quotes themselves. Distinguish between quotes from the same person using parenthetical statements like "Mr. Young (ignorance)".

And the NOMINEES are...
"There's a distinction I make between cute and funny. And that distinction is Roz and Joanna." -Miller
"My garden's the kind of garden you don't enter without a machete." -Joanna
"That was one of my Ipswich-is-cooler-than-you-think moments." -Roz, on a speech involving Jennifer Garner's fictitious residence in Ipswich
"For now, I've written his title as 'omniscient mentor to the masses.'" -Jenn, on Mr. Davis
"I put the 'li' in 'Julian'!" -Julian
"Hell is cool for two reasons..." -Ms. Grant
"Eroticismo y muerte se van muy bien juntos." -Frederique (English translation: "Eroticism and death go very well together.")
"I think Josh has too much Emily on his hands." -Ms. Jackman, explaining Josh's absence
"If I had a sidekick I'd name him Flying Buttress." -Joanna's mom

Voting closes Tuesday evening, which is usually when I decide to tally up the votes.
