The Netflix PS3 Instant Streaming Disc

This Friday I discovered an unexpected package from Netflix in my mailbox, their new Instant Streaming Disc for the PS3.  The lack of Netflix support was actually the only thing I regretted about choosing the PS3 over the Xbox 360.  No more!  Using the Instant Streaming Disc you can watch any of Netflix’s “Watch Instantly” titles on your television.  Unfortunately the selection of such titles is a little sparse.  It consists of an eclectic combination of hit new releases, TV shows and B movies from the 80′s.  Nevertheless this has definitely brought even more value to the Netflix service.  (Hear that cable company?  I don’t need you for my entertainment!)

It seems we’ve both meandered into the microblogging territory. I was wondering which of us would post a useful entry first one of these days. Bravo!

In other news, I’m still holding off on NetFlix. I still haven’t seen most (any) of the movie suggestions from college.

I agree. Most of my postable thoughts these days have been short enough to use microblogging. There have been a lot of things I’ve considered writing full blog posts about. I just need to sit down and write them.

Sometimes I use my microblogging stream as a resource for ideas to post later, for notes that could be summarized in 140 characters but could easily inspire much lengthier entries later down the road.

I’d stick with microblogging (recall the original 10/day one-liners), except my stats show that people actually read (and reply to) the entries as opposed to the general disregard for streams.

By the way – since you’re as much of a nut about organizing as I am – I think you left out the commas in this entry’s tags.

Currently it searches for the tag “review web ps3″, and I know for sure that you’ve previously used the tags “review” and “web” =)

Thanks for noticing that, all fixed.
